How to mount a pull up bar to uneven joist spacing
Floor Joists or Manufactured beams are becoming increasingly popular in new construction. Rather than follow the traditional 16″ spacing we are accustomed to with Stud construction manufactured beams are spaced at greater distances 18-20″ apart which makes mounting a Stud Bar more difficult. Here is a clean and simple mounting solution sent in by a customer. As always cutting down the cross bar and having the threaded end cap welded back on is always an option. Some installs take a little more effort, considering your pull up bar will last a lifetime and offer lasting health benefits we believe its always worth the effort.
